21 - Android Developer (2,200 - 2,400 EUR/month)

<p>Our client is a globally recognised travel platform with millions of users across iOS and Android. They are looking for an experienced Android Developer to join their Mobile Growth Team, contributing to a high-performance app that drives a significant portion of the business. You are someone who thrives in fast-paced e-commerce environments and cares deeply about code quality, architecture, and the end-user experience.</p><h4>Key Responsibilities</h4><ul> <li>Design, build, and maintain high-performance, reusable, and reliable Android code</li> <li>Ensure app quality through unit and UI tests to validate implementations</li> <li>Collaborate with cross-functional teams including designers, product managers, and QA engineers</li> <li>Champion best practices in Android development - code quality, scalability, and performance</li> <li>Drive the full software development lifecycle from concept to deployment</li> <li>Contribute hands-on to team goals with technical expertise and a commitment to excellence</li></ul><h4>Required Skills and Experience</h4><ul> <li>5+ years of hands-on native Android development experience</li> <li>Degree in computer science or a related field</li> <li>Proficiency in Kotlin, with strong understanding of Android frameworks (RxJava, Hilt, MVP, MVI, Jetpack Compose)</li> <li>In-depth knowledge of Android architecture, UI/UX principles, and design patterns</li> <li>Experience with version control, CI/CD pipelines, and RESTful APIs</li> <li>Strong debugging and optimisation skills</li></ul><h4>Nice to Have</h4><ul> <li>Experience working in an agile/scrum environment with cross-functional product teams</li> <li>Background in e-commerce or booking/marketplace platforms</li> <li>Experience with app performance monitoring and crash reporting tools (e.g. Firebase, Sentry)</li> <li>Familiarity with A/B testing and feature flagging in mobile apps</li> <li>Experience migrating to or building with Jetpack Compose</li> <li>Familiarity with AI-assisted development tools such as Cursor</li></ul>
