Position Overview: As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in the kitchen, assisting the Executive Chef in overseeing daily kitchen operations, ensuring that every dish meets our high standards of quality and presentation. This role requires a strong background in culinary arts, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for creating outstanding food. Key Responsibilities: Assist the Executive Chef in menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen management. Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, ensuring that all tasks are completed efficiently and to the highest standards. Maintain consistency in food quality and presentation across all dishes. Ensure that kitchen operations adhere to food safety and sanitation standards. Assist with inventory management, including ordering and tracking supplies. Train, mentor, and motivate kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment. Monitor and manage kitchen operations during service, ensuring timely and accurate preparation and delivery of dishes. Handle guest inquiries and resolve any issues related to food quality or presentation. Assist with special events, catering, and other culinary projects as needed. Qualifications: Proven experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role within a high-volume, fine dining, or upscale restaurant environment. Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and presentation. Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to effectively manage and motivate a team. Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
