CARPENTER
JOB DESCRIPTION
Carpenters will travel between sites and be responsible to the site superintendent/foreman. General duties will include hanging doors and hardware installation, install trim carpentry, install cabinets and worktops, construct forms, perform selective demolition labor and clean.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Construct forms
- Set out for excavations
- Cutting and fixing items
- Assisting laborers and other duties as directed by the site superintendent/foreman
- Skills in drywall, acoustical ceilings and tiling preferred
- Strictly adhere to company safety policy
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Must possess a high level of skill in relation to all carpenter duties
- Must be able to display and perform carpenter duties in a consistent, quality manner
- Must be dependable and reliable
- Reports to foreman, project coordinator, or superintendent as available
- Task-oriented, not directly concerned with the management of any project
- 5 years or more experience as a carpenter
- Be physically fit enough to occasionally lift heavy items, climb access equipment
- Have a good working knowledge of tools and their safe use
- Be able to communicate with other staff on site and alert them to any issues
- Capable of understanding plans and specifications
- Have good working knowledge of OSHA regulations
- Valid driver’s license
- Competency with skid steer, forklift and scissor lift preferred
