CARPENTER

JOB DESCRIPTION

Carpenters will travel between sites and be responsible to the site superintendent/foreman. General duties will include hanging doors and hardware installation, install trim carpentry, install cabinets and worktops, construct forms, perform selective demolition labor and clean.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Construct forms
  • Set out for excavations
  • Cutting and fixing items
  • Assisting laborers and other duties as directed by the site superintendent/foreman
  • Skills in drywall, acoustical ceilings and tiling preferred
  • Strictly adhere to company safety policy
DESIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
  • Must possess a high level of skill in relation to all carpenter duties
  • Must be able to display and perform carpenter duties in a consistent, quality manner
  • Must be dependable and reliable
  • Reports to foreman, project coordinator, or superintendent as available
  • Task-oriented, not directly concerned with the management of any project
  • 5 years or more experience as a carpenter
  • Be physically fit enough to occasionally lift heavy items, climb access equipment
  • Have a good working knowledge of tools and their safe use
  • Be able to communicate with other staff on site and alert them to any issues
  • Capable of understanding plans and specifications
  • Have good working knowledge of OSHA regulations
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Competency with skid steer, forklift and scissor lift preferred
