The Cloud Platform Engineer designs, implements, and sustains secure, scalable, and automated Kubernetes platform capabilities within DoD cloud environments. Responsibilities <ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Design, deploy, and maintain Kubernetes platforms (EKS) for multi-tenant enterprise workloads.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Lead application migration to containerized architectures.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Build reusable platform components such as operators, Helm charts, and IaC modules.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Automate cluster lifecycle tasks (provisioning, upgrades, scaling, patching).</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Develop IaC with Terraform, CloudFormation, or CDK.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Implement monitoring and observability solutions.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Troubleshoot cluster, node, networking, and application issues.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Ensure compliance with DoD cybersecurity standards.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Implement RBAC, IAM roles for service accounts, and least-privilege policies.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines and GitOps workflows.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Support application modernization and migration strategies.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Provide Tier 3 engineering support and documentation.</li></ul> Qualifications <ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Interim Secret Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Bachelor’s degree in CS, IT, Engineering, Math, or related field, or equivalent experience.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">8+ years experience (Bachelor’s) or 6+ years (Master’s).</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Hands-on AWS experience (EKS, EC2, VPC, IAM, ECR).</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with Kubernetes architecture and operations.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with Docker and container security.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with IaC tools.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Understanding of DoD cybersecurity frameworks.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with Linux system administration, with preference given to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) in enterprise or DoD environments.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience in Agile/SAFe environments.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Desired Qualifications<ul><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Advanced experience operating Kubernetes/EKS clusters in production at scale.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Proficiency with Terraform or CloudFormation for modular IaC provisioning.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Hands-on experience with Ansible or similar tools for configuration automation.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience implementing GitOps workflows with ArgoCD or Flux.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Strong background designing cloud-native platform components (Helm charts, operators, reusable modules).</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with container security tools (Anchore, Twistlock, Aqua).</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Familiarity with service mesh technologies (Istio, Linkerd).</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience implementing RBAC, IAM Roles for Service Accounts (IRSA), and least-privilege models.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Proven ability to build automated cluster lifecycle workflows (upgrades, scaling, patching).</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif; font-size: 12pt;">Experience with multi-cluster or multi-region Kubernetes operations.</li><li style="font-family: arial, helvetica, sans-serif;
