Coffee and Snack Bar Attendant - Part-Time Positions Available
About the Role
MNC JOBS INFO is placing part-time Coffee and Snack Bar Attendants at cafeterias, office buildings, university campus cafés, and standalone snack bars. These positions are perfect for individuals looking for consistent part-time work in a lower-pressure environment than a full-service coffee shop. Attendants prepare and serve hot and cold beverages, manage a small food display, and ensure the service area stays clean and fully stocked throughout the day.
What You Will Do
- Brew fresh coffee and hot tea throughout the shift, monitoring freshness and replacing batches that have sat too long
- Prepare simple espresso-based drinks (drip latte, cappuccino, Americano) using automated or semi-automatic equipment
- Stock and maintain the snack display with packaged items, fresh pastries, and grab-and-go food supplied by the venue
- Serve customers at the counter, take orders, process payments, and provide receipts with a friendly demeanor
- Monitor and restock supplies throughout the shift — coffee beans, paper cups, napkins, and packaged snack inventory
- Wipe down the service counter, equipment surfaces, and customer-facing display case between service periods
- Track inventory and report low-stock items to the supervisor before running out
- Follow food safety practices including proper food storage temperatures, expiration checks, and equipment sanitation logs
What You Need
- Basic food preparation skills — this role is straightforward but requires care and consistency
- Friendly, approachable demeanor — snack bar attendants interact with the same customers regularly
- Organizational skills for managing stock rotation, display restocking, and preparation schedules
- Ability to stand for 4 – 5 hours during a shift and lift supply boxes up to 20 lbs
- Reliable schedule — these positions have set shift times tied to building or campus hours
- Must be 16 or older — no previous food service experience required
Nice to Have
- Previous café, cafeteria, or food service experience
- Food handler card or ServSafe Food Handler certification
- Experience with automated coffee or beverage equipment
What We Offer
- Pay of $13 – $15 per hour with tip jar income where applicable
- Consistent, predictable shift schedule — same days and times each week
- Complimentary beverages and snacks during your shift
- Low-stress work environment — snack bar roles are calmer than full-service café positions
- Indoor, climate-controlled work setting
- Paid sick time per state and local ordinance
