WCF Insurance, an "A" rated carrier growing throughout the western states, has an immediate opening for a Commercial Claims Strategy Manager to join our Claims Strategy team. Candidates may be based in any U.S. state.</div> </div> Position This role leads training, strategy, and compliance efforts for WCF's commercial claims operation, helping ensure consistent claim handling, strong service, and continuous process improvement. The ideal candidate brings deep commercial claims experience and can translate that expertise into effective training, sound business practices, and operational guidance across the department. Responsibilities <ul> <li style="line-height: normal;">Strongly influence the overall caliber of claims service by owning primary responsibility for all department training and quality assurance programs.</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Manage the development, maintenance, and delivery of customized curricula to train new employees, deliver new skills and knowledge to incumbent staff, and provide continuing education.</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Identify the reporting implications of changes to product offerings, company strategy, vendor partnerships, state regulations, bureau requirements, published reporting standards, etc. </li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Research, analyze, and recommend improvements to the department's business processes to refine overall organization performance.</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Monitor and analyze commercial claim laws and regulations that may affect claims handling policies and practices. </li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Lead regular efforts aimed at process improvement, system and vendor optimization, and effective measurement of business performance</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Keep current with ever-changing statutes, business practices, technology, claims standards, and training tools.</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Coordinate with leadership, employees, customers, agencies, and all internal departments to help ensure an effective and efficient claims process.</li> </ul> Qualifications The most qualified candidate will have: <ul> <li style="line-height: normal;">At least seven years' experience in commercial claims</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Outstanding communication, presentation, and training skills across departments and disciplines.</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Strong background and experience in process improvement and data analysis.</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Outstanding research skills and ability to study technical manuals to understand, communicate, and help implement technical specifications.</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Familiarity with core systems, including data management.</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Ability to work at both strategic and technical levels.</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Ability to read and interpret contracts, policies, and other documents.</li> <li style="line-height: normal;">Bachelor's degree or appropriate combination of insurance industry claims designation(s); graduate degree preferred.</li> </ul> Internal candidates should have acceptable job performance, 6 months in their current position, and must notify their current supervisor that they have applied for the position. Compensation <div> <div> <div>The salary range for this position in Utah is $101,000 to $125,000 based upon experience and qualifications. For candidates in other locations, this range may vary slightly based on state, as well as experience and qualifications.
