<h2><strong>Consultant - Leave of Absence (LOA) & ADA (Remote | Contract)</strong></h2><p></p><p>We are seeking an experienced <strong>Consultant – Leave of Absence (LOA) & ADA</strong> to support multiple (1–3) client engagements in a fast-paced consulting environment at Alliant Human Capital. This role is ideal for a seasoned corporate HR professional with deep expertise in Leave Administration, ADA accommodations, and employee relations who thrives in a client-facing, highly collaborative environment.</p><p>The ideal candidate will bring <strong>8+ years of hands-on corporate LOA/ADA experience</strong> supporting complex employee populations, partnering with legal and HR teams, and managing high-volume leave and accommodation cases across multiple states and jurisdictions.</p><h3><br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Manage end-to-end Leave of Absence administration including:<ul><li>FMLA</li><li>ADA accommodations</li><li>Pregnancy and parental leave</li><li>Short-Term and Long-Term Disability</li><li>Workers’ Compensation coordination</li><li>State and local leave programs</li></ul></li><li>Independently manage complex, high-volume LOA and ADA caseloads while ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations</li><li>Conduct and document the ADA interactive process, including reviewing medical documentation, identifying reasonable accommodations, and partnering with managers on implementation</li><li>Serve as a trusted advisor to clients and employees regarding leave policies, accommodations, fitness-for-duty processes, and return-to-work planning</li><li>Partner with third-party administrators, carriers, legal counsel, payroll teams, and HR business partners to ensure seamless leave administration</li><li>Review and interpret medical certifications and documentation while maintaining confidentiality and compliance standards</li><li>Support escalated employee relations matters related to leaves, accommodations, attendance, and workplace restrictions</li><li>Maintain accurate case documentation, timelines, and compliance records for audit readiness</li><li>Provide guidance on multi-state leave laws and evolving compliance requirements</li><li>Support HRIS and case management systems such as Workday, ServiceNow, ADP Workforce Now, UKG, or similar platforms</li><li>Track leave metrics, trends, and reporting to provide clients with operational insights and recommendations</li><li>Assist with development and enhancement of LOA/ADA policies, SOPs, templates, and employee communications</li><li>Participate in client meetings, operational reviews, and process improvement initiatives</li><li>Collaborate across internal consulting teams to support client deliverables, timelines, and operational goals</li><li>Provide training and education to managers and HR teams regarding leave and accommodation processes and best practices</li></ul><h3><br><strong>Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>8+ years of direct corporate Leave of Absence and ADA experience</strong></li><li>Strong experience managing complex and high-volume LOA and accommodation cases in a corporate environment</li><li>Deep knowledge of:<ul><li>FMLA</li><li>ADA</li><li>PWFA</li><li>State leave laws</li><li>STD/LTD administration</li><li>Workers’ Compensation coordination</li></ul></li><li>Experience partnering with third-party leave vendors and insurance carriers</li><li>Strong understanding of HR compliance, employment law, and documentation standards</li><li>Experience supporting multiple business units, employee populations, or clients preferred</li><li>Proficiency in HRIS and case management systems such as Workday, ADP Workforce Now, UKG, ServiceNow, or similar platforms</li><li>Exceptional communication, organization, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills</li><li>Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, consulting-driven environment</li><li>Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred</li><li>HR certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR, CLMS, or CDMS are a plus</li></ul><h3><br><strong>Details</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>Location:</strong> 100% Remote</li><li><strong>Type:</strong> Contract / Consultant</li><li><strong>Pay:</strong> $40–$45/hour (based on experience)</li></ul>
