Custom Clearance Assistant Manager

Responsibility

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and coordinate all customs clearance activities to ensure smooth import and export operations.

  • Liaise with clients, customs authorities, and relevant agencies to ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.

  • Manage documentation processes for import/export permits, tariff codes, and other customs-related matters.

  • Supervise a small team handling clearance paperwork, ensuring accuracy and timely submission.

  • Resolve customs issues, delays, or discrepancies efficiently to minimize operational disruptions.

  • Maintain strong relationships with port, airport, and shipping agents to facilitate prompt clearance.

  • Continuously update knowledge on changing customs regulations and ensure company compliance.

Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in customs clearance or freight forwarding operations.

  • Proficient in import/export documentation and customs procedures.

  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.

  • Mandarin-speaking candidates will have an added advantage.

REMUNERATION PACKAGES

Basic: RM 5000

EPF, SOCSO, EIS

Working Hours: 8.30 – 5.00pm / 9.00-12.30pm (alternate after probation)
