Dual Certified FNP / PMHNP-BC Nurse Practitioner
Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Dual Certified Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP) and Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner-Board Certified (PMHNP-BC) to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This energetic role offers an exciting opportunity to provide comprehensive primary and mental health care across diverse patient populations, while the organization grows its behavioral health services program. This unique, hybrid position is designed for an autonomous clinician who enjoys both physical medicine and mental health.
Initially, you will split your time between delivering comprehensive family primary care and providing specialized psychiatric services. As you work alongside our leadership team to build, scale, and establish our dedicated psychiatric/behavioral health caseload, your clinical focus will dynamically shift toward full-time psychiatric management.

- Screen, counsel, and prescribe PrEP (Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis) to high-risk populations.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage Substance Use Disorders (SUD), incorporating Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) models where clinically indicated.
Primary Care & Integrated Coordination
- Provide high-quality family primary care services, including routine physical exams, acute illness treatment, and preventative screenings.
- Manage chronic physical conditions (e.g., hepatitis C, hypertension, diabetes) that frequently co-occur with mental health and substance use disorders.
- Serve as the clinical bridge between primary care clinicians, behavioral health counselors, and community partners.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant documentation within the Electronic Health Record (EHR) system.
Required Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing from an accredited program.
- Active national board certifications as both an FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner) and a PMHNP-BC (Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner).
- Active, clear, and unencumbered Florida APRN license.
- Valid DEA license with registration for controlled substances.
- Eligible for or active enrollment in Medicaid and Medicare provider networks.
- Ability to pass a criminal background screening
