This hybrid role combines technical system administration with user-facing support for analysts and operational leaders. The Cogito System Administrator works closely with IT, Reporting Analytics, and Clinical/Operational teams to ensure reliable data flows, secure access, and effective use of Epic’s analytics tools.RESPONSIBILITIES<ul><li>Perform installations, upgrades, patching, and database configurations for IRIS and Epic</li><li>Monitor and troubleshoot any unusual system behavior and performance concerns</li><li>Performs backup, restores, and refreshes of Epic Cogito stack</li><li>Maintain system decision, setup, and configuration documentation</li><li>Monitor job schedules, ETL processes, and system performance to ensure stable and timely data delivery</li><li>Communicate Epic environmental activities (downtimes, upgrades, patches, refreshes) to all relevant parties</li><li>Conduct communications with vendors and other outside resources to resolve complex infrastructure issues when needed</li><li>Provide go-live and post go-live support</li><li>Provide regular and/or off hour on call support as scheduled</li><li>Perform other duties as assigned</li></ul> QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Qualifications:<ul><li>3 years’ relevant Epic Cogito (Clarity, Caboodle, Slicer Dicer) Administrator experience</li><li>Associates of Arts (AA) or Bachelor’s degree</li><li>Cogito Systems Administration Certification -OR-</li><li>An approved equivalent combination of education and experience</li></ul>Preferred Qualifications:<ul><li>Experience with reporting tools/platforms such as SSIS, PowerBI, Epic Cogito SQL, Tableau</li><li>Knowledge of healthcare operations and terminology</li><li>Demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server and other relational databases. Hands on experience writing, tuning and troubleshooting T-SQL queries</li><li>Understanding of data warehousing concepts, including warehouse design principles and various ETL models</li><li>Experience in developing and maintaining ETL processes aligned with healthcare data standards</li></ul>Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities:<ul><li>Solid understanding of Cogito Systems and intermediate knowledge of client systems deployments</li><li>Ability to work independently and provide timely status updates</li><li>Analytical, critical thinking, problem solving, and conflict resolution skills</li><li>Interpersonal, customer relationship, and teamwork skills</li><li>Ability to adapt to changes/challenges in organization strategy, priorities, and direction</li><li>Ability to explain or demonstrate technology in a manner suited to the audience (i.e., business, clinical, or technical team member)</li><li>Ability to write and adapt complex shell scripts/tools</li><li>Ability to work across teams to ensure IT system upgrades and deployments are conducted with minimal impact to the operation</li></ul>
