Provides financial analysis to support the goals of Baylor Scott and White (BSWH).<ul><li>Provides complex financial analysis support to various entities both fully owned and joint ventures.</li><li>Assists in the efficient and cost-effective operation of BSWH.</li><li>Prepares the operating and capital budget(s) for assigned areas.</li><li>Prepares the 5-year financial operating forecast to include statistics, payer mix, payments capital, etc.</li><li>Prepares examination and presents and justifies findings, for any potential capital acquisitions, projects, new services, etc.</li><li>Prepares, Manages, and Analyzes financial information related to the end of month close cycle, including root cause analysis and technical accounting research.</li><li>Supports the monthly accounting close process by preparing and reviewing various journal entry information and performing accounting research.</li><li>Performs and communicates moderate to complex analysis for external users of financial information</li><li>Proactive use of technology to provide timely information to leadership</li><li>Provides timely reconciliation and invoicing to contracts.</li><li>Performs accounting research and supports due diligence to contract requirements.</li><li>Provides ongoing budget vs. actual revenue and expense variance analysis. Reviews both standard and custom reports developed for the entity.</li><li>Prepares verbal or written results of examination of operating efficiencies and presents/discusses them with management and others as required.</li><li>Develops and produces Management Reports as required/requested</li><li>Able to perform ad hoc requests in addition to daily/monthly responsibilities.</li><li>Maintains professional growth by joining educational programs and organizations. Stays updated on current trends, practices, and developments.</li><li>Performs other position appropriate duties as required in a competent, professional, and courteous manner as well as participates in special projects</li></ul>Key Success Factors<ul><li>Preferred BS in Accounting or Finance</li><li>Proficiency with MS Office applications including BI</li><li>Prior work experience in a healthcare setting, and familiarity with outpatient KPIs and financial metrics preferred</li><li>Prior experience with Kaufman Hall/Axiom budgeting software preferred</li><li>Proven leadership, data, and communication abilities required</li><li>Strong follow-through and execution of day-to-day tasks and responsibilities</li><li>Ability to work both autonomously and in collaborative, team-based environments</li><li>Ability to learn complex accounting between fully owned and joint ventures.</li><li>Ability to adapt and learn nuances that exist amongst various medical groups. </li><li>Open to performance feedback and willing to ask questions to obtain knowledge. </li></ul>The job description describes essential functions for this role.
