INTERDISCIPLINARY ENGINEER
Duties
· Provides Test & Evaluation (T&E) expertise and knowledge of program systems.· Responsible for preparation of all T&E planning documents associated with program organization, product development, material acquisition, program budgets, schedules and reports.
· Coordinates test team efforts, directs test team tasking as required and ensures requirements based test planning is performed in accordance with NAVAIR Instruction 3960.4 series
· Delivers quality test products and provide a quality assessment for fleet/user delivery.
· Assesses and improves business processes and T&E capabilities including laboratory modeling and simulation and experimentation activities for T&E.

Applicants must meet the following positive education qualifications requirements of the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualifications Standards Manual: Applicants must (A) have successfully completed a full four-year professional engineering curriculum leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in engineering in an accredited college or university. The curriculum included differential and integral calculus and courses (more advanced than first-year physics and chemistry) in five of the following seven areas of engineering science or physics: (a) statics, dynamics; (b) strength of materials (stress-strain relationships); (c) fluid mechanics, hydraulics; (d) thermodynamics; (e) electrical fields and circuits; (f) nature and properties of materials (relating particle and aggregate structure to properties); and (g) any other comparable area of fundamental engineering science or physics, such as optics, heat transfer, soil mechanics, or electronics. OR
(B) Have successfully completed a full four-year professional engineering curriculum leading to a bachelor's or higher degree in engineering from an accredited college or university that has an engineering curriculum accredited by the Accreditation Board for Engineering and Technology (ABET). OR
(C) Have successfully passed the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam (formerly known as the Engineer-in-Training or EIT), or the written test required for professional registration administered by the
Boards of Engineering Examiners in the various States, the District of Columbia, Guam, and Puerto Rico. I have completed all the requirements for a bachelor's degree in engineering technology (BET) from an accredited college or university that included 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences, or I have completed a BET from an ABET accredited program. OR
(D) Be registered as a Professional Engineer in the District of Columbia, Guam, Puerto Rico, or any State in the United States. The registration is based on a written examination given by the State Board. OR
(E) Have a combination of at least four years of college level education, training, and/or technical experience that included successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences, including the courses listed in paragraph "A" above. Course work completed is fully acceptable toward the requirements of a professional engineering curriculum. OR
(F) Have successfully completed a four-year curriculum leading to a bachelor's degree in engineering technology or in a related scientific curriculum such as physics, chemistry, architecture, computer science, mathematics, hydrology, or geology; and, I have at least one year of professional engineering experience under the guidance and supervision of a professional engineer. OR
(G) Completed my engineering degree at a foreign college or university and the courses have been accepted for advanced credit in engineering by an accredited college or university in the United States, or an organization recognized for specializing in the evaluation of foreign education has stated that my education is equivalent to a professional engineering program at an accredited college in the United States.
