Role Description: The Internship Writer role at Taylor Lee Media is a part-time, remote position based in Los Angeles, CA. The writer will develop original written content for online articles.

Day-to-day tasks include brainstorming concepts, outlining and drafting content, revising work in response to editorial feedback, and aligning deliverables with project timelines and brand guidelines. The role involves researching topics and audiences, adapting tone and style across platforms, and collaborating closely with editors, designers, and production staff to ensure cohesive storytelling. The writer is expected to manage multiple assignments simultaneously while maintaining high-quality standards and meeting deadlines.

To clarify: This is an internship, so we want you to get the experience of writing, and we will accommodate your schedule. Hours can vary, but we would like at least 8 hours per week of article writing.

Qualifications

  • Strong writing, storytelling, and narrative development skills across multiple formats.
  • Ability to edit and revise content, incorporating feedback while maintaining clarity, coherence, and a consistent voice.
  • Experience conducting research to inform content accuracy, audience relevance, and creative direction.
  • Familiarity with media, entertainment, and movies, with an interest in cross-platform storytelling.
  • Capacity to manage part-time internship workloads, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced studio setting.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Proficiency with common writing and collaboration tools (e.g., word processors, project management platforms, shared drives).
