LOGISTICS EXECUTIVE

Responsibilities

  • Plan and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments (Local & International) Prepare and verify shipping documents (Invoice, packing list, BL, COO, permits)
  • Liaise with freight forwarders, shipping lines, customs brokers and transporters Ensure timely delivery of goods to customers and internal departments.
  • Ensure compliance with import/export regulations, HS codes & tariffs. Handle customs clearance and liaise with relevant authority example MITI, MIDA & Customs.
  • Keep updated on trade laws, FTAs, tax/duty implications Optimized transportation costs (FCL, LCL, air, land, courier) Track and resolve logistics bottlenecks, damages and delays.
  • Monitor logistics KPI (delivery lead-time, cost per shipment, OTIF), negotiate rates with freight and transport service providers. Identify cost-saving opportunities in freight, packaging and warehousing.
  • Support budgeting and cost control initiatives.
  • Comply to customs laws & regulation formalities include customs reporting.
  • Investigate shipment discrepancies, damages and claims.
  • Maintain accurate logistics records and shipment databases.

Requirements

  • Candidate must possess at least a Post-Graduate Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree / Professional Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
  • Required Language(s): Mandarin, Bahasa Malaysia and English. We are seeking candidates proficient in Mandarin to effectively communicate with Mandarin-speaking clients.
  • Exposure in LMW, Tax Exemptions, MIDA and Custom Department related matters
  • Self-motivated, result driven, independent and good in problem solving.
  • Preferably specialized in Purchasing with 5 years' experience.
