NOC Engineer

<p>This is a remote position.</p> <div> <b>Job Overview</b> <br> </div> <div> We are looking for a Network Operations Center (NOC) Engineer with 2–3 years of<br> </div> <div> experience to monitor, manage, and support cloud infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure.<br> </div> <div> The candidate will monitor Azure environments, respond to alerts, resolve incidents, and<br> </div> <div> coordinate with DevOps, Infrastructure, and Development teams to ensure high availability<br> </div> <div> of services.<br> </div> <div>  <br> </div> <div> <b>Key Responsibilities</b><br> </div> <div> 1.Monitor Azure infrastructure, applications, and network services.<br> </div> <div> 2.Respond to alerts, incidents, and service disruptions.<br> </div> <div> 3.Perform initial troubleshooting and root cause analysis.<br> </div> <div> 4.Escalate issues to DevOps, Cloud, or Application teams when required.<br> </div> <div> 5.Track incidents using ticketing systems (Jira, etc.).<br> </div> <div> <br> </div> <div> <b>Azure Infrastructure Monitoring</b><b><br></b> </div> <div> 1.Monitor Azure Virtual Machines<br> </div> <div> 2.Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS)<br> </div> <div> 3.Storage Accounts<br> </div> <div> 4.Azure App Services<br> </div> <div> 5.Azure SQL / Databases<br> </div> <div> 6.Load Balancers / Application Gateway<br> </div> <div> 7.Networking (VNet, NSG, VPN Gateway)<br> </div> <div> 8.Track CPU, Memory, Disk, and Network utilization.<br> </div> <div>  <br> </div> <div>  <br> </div> <div> <b>Alert Management</b><br> </div> <div> 1.Analyze alerts generated from Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.<br> </div> <div> 2.Validate alerts and take corrective actions.<br> </div> <div> 3.Escalate critical alerts to appropriate teams.<br> </div> <div>   <br> </div> <div> <b>Basic Troubleshooting</b><b><br></b> </div> <div> 1.Check service availability.<br> </div> <div> 2.Restart services when required.<br> </div> <div> 3.Verify VM health and connectivity.<br> </div> <div> 4.Investigate logs and metrics.<br> </div> <div> 5.Perform basic network troubleshooting (Ping, NSLookup, Port connectivity).<br> </div> <div> 6.Documentation & Reporting<br> </div> <div> 7.Maintain incident logs and resolution steps. <br> </div> <div> 1.Prepare daily/weekly reports for system availability.<br> </div> <div> 2.Document SOPs and troubleshooting guides.<br> </div> <div>   <br> </div> <div> <b>Required Skills</b><br> </div> <div> 1.Basic understanding of Azure Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage.<br> </div> <div> 2.Familiarity with Azure Monitor and Log Analytics.<br> </div> <div> 3.Basic Linux and Windows server administration <br> </div> <div> oAzure Monitor<br> </div> <div>               <br> </div> <div> <b>Tools & Technologies</b><br> </div> <div> •Log Analytics<br> </div> <div> •Grafana / Prometheus<br> </div> <div> •Ticketing tools such as Jira, Zoho<br> </div> <div>  <br> </div> <div> <b>Soft Skills</b><br> </div> <div> 1.Strong troubleshooting ability<br> </div> <div> 2.Good communication skills<br> </div> <div> 3.Ability to work in 24x7 shifts<br> </div> <div> 4.Ability to work under pressure during incidents<br> </div><br>
