Nutanix Architect

<h3><strong>Position Overview</strong></h3><p>MetroSys is seeking an experienced <strong>Nutanix Architect</strong> to lead the design and delivery of enterprise <strong>hyperconverged infrastructure (HCI)</strong> and cloud platform solutions. This is a <strong>client-facing, architect-level role</strong> responsible for driving strategy, architecture, and successful execution of Nutanix-based transformations across customer environments.</p><p>The ideal candidate is a hands-on technical leader who can engage stakeholders, design scalable solutions, and guide delivery teams through complex infrastructure modernization initiatives.</p><hr><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Serve as the <strong>primary technical advisor</strong> for Nutanix and HCI-related engagements</li><li>Lead <strong>architecture design, workshops, and discovery sessions</strong> with clients</li><li>Design and deliver Nutanix solutions across:<ul><li>AOS (Acropolis OS)</li><li>AHV virtualization</li><li>Prism (Element/Central)</li><li>Files, Objects, and Calm automation</li></ul></li><li>Develop <strong>target-state architectures, migration strategies, and modernization roadmaps</strong></li><li>Lead <strong>data center transformations</strong>, including:<ul><li>Legacy virtualization migrations (VMware/Hyper-V to AHV)</li><li>Infrastructure consolidation and refresh</li></ul></li><li>Define and implement <strong>high availability, disaster recovery, and data protection strategies</strong></li><li>Provide oversight for <strong>deployment, configuration, and migration activities</strong></li><li>Act as escalation point for <strong>complex technical issues and architectural decisions</strong></li><li>Contribute to <strong>pre-sales efforts</strong>, including solution design, SOW development, and client presentations</li><li>Produce <strong>high-quality deliverables</strong>, including architecture diagrams, design documentation, and recommendations</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>8–12+ years</strong> of experience in infrastructure architecture or senior engineering roles</li><li>Deep expertise with:<ul><li>Nutanix AOS, AHV, and Prism</li><li>HCI architecture and design principles</li></ul></li><li>Strong understanding of:<ul><li>Virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V)</li><li>Storage and compute architecture</li><li>Networking within HCI environments</li></ul></li><li>Experience leading <strong>enterprise infrastructure transformations and migrations</strong></li><li>Strong client-facing and communication skills</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></h3><ul><li>Nutanix certifications (NCP, NCM, NCA, etc.)</li><li>Experience with <strong>Nutanix DR solutions</strong> (Leap, replication)</li><li>Familiarity with <strong>automation and orchestration (Calm, APIs, scripting)</strong></li><li>Exposure to <strong>hybrid cloud or multi-cloud integrations</strong></li><li>Experience in <strong>consulting or professional services organizations</strong></li></ul>
