Nutanix Engineer

<h3><strong>Position Overview</strong></h3><p>MetroSys is seeking a skilled <strong>Nutanix Engineer</strong> to support the deployment, configuration, and ongoing management of Nutanix environments across client engagements. This role is focused on <strong>hands-on implementation and operational support</strong> within HCI platforms.</p><p>The ideal candidate has strong experience with Nutanix technologies and is comfortable working in <strong>client-facing, fast-paced environments</strong> supporting both projects and operational needs.</p><hr><h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3><ul><li>Deploy, configure, and support <strong>Nutanix HCI environments</strong> across multiple clients</li><li>Administer and maintain:<ul><li>Nutanix AOS</li><li>AHV virtualization</li><li>Prism Element and Prism Central</li></ul></li><li>Support <strong>infrastructure projects</strong>, including:<ul><li>Cluster deployments and expansions</li><li>Migration of workloads to Nutanix</li><li>System upgrades and lifecycle management</li></ul></li><li>Perform <strong>troubleshooting and issue resolution</strong> across compute, storage, and virtualization layers</li><li>Assist with <strong>backup, replication, and disaster recovery configurations</strong></li><li>Monitor system health and performance, ensuring <strong>optimal operation and availability</strong></li><li>Collaborate with architects and senior engineers on <strong>design implementation and validation</strong></li><li>Maintain accurate <strong>documentation, configurations, and runbooks</strong></li><li>Support <strong>client requests, incidents, and service tickets</strong></li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Required Qualifications</strong></h3><ul><li><strong>3–7+ years</strong> of experience in infrastructure, virtualization, or systems engineering</li><li>Hands-on experience with:<ul><li>Nutanix AOS and AHV</li><li>Prism management tools</li></ul></li><li>Strong understanding of:<ul><li>Virtualization concepts</li><li>Storage and compute infrastructure</li><li>Networking fundamentals</li></ul></li><li>Experience troubleshooting <strong>HCI environments and enterprise systems</strong></li><li>Ability to work across multiple clients and manage competing priorities</li></ul><hr><h3><strong>Preferred Skills</strong></h3><ul><li>Nutanix certification (NCA, NCP, etc.)</li><li>Experience migrating from <strong>VMware or Hyper-V to Nutanix AHV</strong></li><li>Familiarity with <strong>backup and DR solutions</strong></li><li>Exposure to <strong>automation or scripting (PowerShell, APIs)</strong></li><li>Experience in <strong>managed services or consulting environments</strong></li></ul>
