About the Role

Greate Consultant is placing part-time Retail Store Cleaners with national retail brands and shopping mall facilities. Retail cleaning positions are among the most accessible part-time cleaning roles available — no experience, no degree, and no certifications required. Retail store cleaners work before opening or after closing to ensure the sales floor, stockroom, fitting rooms, and restrooms are clean, organized, and safe for the next day's customers and staff.

What You Will Do

• Sweep, dust-mop, and wet-mop all sales floor areas, including between display fixtures and under racks
• Clean fitting rooms after hours — removing any left items, vacuuming or sweeping floors, and wiping down mirrors and bench surfaces
• Clean and sanitize customer and staff restrooms completely, restocking all supplies
• Vacuum all carpet areas including entrance mats, soft-goods sections, and customer seating areas
• Remove trash from all floor bins, stockroom bins, and break room receptacles and take to the compactor or dumpster
• Clean the stockroom floor and break room surfaces, including the sink, microwave exterior, and table tops
• Wipe down all glass including entrance doors, fitting room mirrors, and glass display cases
• Complete the store cleaning checklist and lock up using the provided keypad code or alarm fob after finishing

What You Need

• Reliability and consistency — retail stores clean on a fixed schedule and the opening manager inspects before staff arrives
• Ability to work early morning (before 6 AM open) or late evening (after 9 PM close) shifts
• Physical ability to sweep, mop, and vacuum a large retail floor for a full 3 – 4 hour shift
• Self-directed work ethic — retail cleaning is often a solo or two-person job with no supervisor on site
• Trustworthiness — retail cleaners often work in the store alone or with one other person after hours
• Must be 18 or older — background check required for after-hours access

Nice to Have

• Previous retail, commercial, or janitorial cleaning experience
• Familiarity with commercial floor care equipment
• Experience closing or opening a retail location
