About the Role

What You Will Do

  • Use a handheld scanner to navigate to the correct bin location within the fulfillment center and confirm the pick of the correct item and quantity
  • Transport picked items to the packing station and select the correct box size, packaging material, and void fill for each order
  • Pack orders securely to prevent damage in transit, apply correct labels, and send the box onto the outbound conveyor
  • Maintain a picking and packing rate that meets the daily units-per-hour productivity target for your assigned station
  • Report scan errors, damaged items, or inventory location mismatches to your team lead through the system or directly
  • Rotate between pick, pack, and receive roles as directed by your Area Manager based on daily facility priorities
  • Follow all Amazon safety guidelines including powered equipment interaction rules, PPE requirements, and ergonomic lifting technique
  • Keep your station area clean and organized to ensure a safe and efficient workflow for yourself and adjacent associates

What You Need

  • Physical ability to walk long distances, stand for extended periods, and lift packages up to 49 lbs
  • Ability to work at a consistent, measured pace against a productivity target
  • Reliable attendance — fulfillment center operations depend on every associate being present for their scheduled shift
  • Basic scanner literacy — the system tells you exactly what to do at every step
  • Comfortable in a large, busy warehouse environment with automated machinery, conveyors, and high foot traffic
  • Must be 18 or older — no experience, no degree required

  • Previous Amazon, warehouse, or distribution center experience
  • Order picking or packing experience in any fulfillment or retail backroom environment
  • RF scanner experience
