The Role

As a Remote Financial Planning and Analysis Analyst, you will support ExxonMobil's FP&A operations by building financial models, maintaining budget tracking systems, and preparing the analytical reports that senior finance and business leaders rely on for quarterly and annual planning cycles. You will collaborate closely with business unit finance teams to consolidate data, explain variances, and deliver forward-looking financial perspectives that drive sound decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain financial models supporting annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes
  • Consolidate financial data from multiple business units and perform variance analysis comparing actuals to budget and forecast
  • Prepare monthly financial performance packages including P&L summaries, cash flow analysis, and capital expenditure tracking
  • Support the development of business case analyses for capital investment decisions and project evaluations
  • Automate and improve recurring FP&A processes including data collection, model refresh, and report generation
  • Respond to ad-hoc financial analysis requests from senior finance leadership and business unit controllers
  • Ensure all financial outputs comply with ExxonMobil's accounting standards and internal controls framework

Qualifications

  • 3+ years of experience in financial planning and analysis, corporate finance, or management accounting
  • Advanced Excel and financial modeling skills; experience with SAP BPC, Hyperion, or Anaplan is a strong plus
  • Strong understanding of income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow statement relationships
  • Experience working within large, multi-business unit corporate finance environments
  • CPA, CFA, or MBA is preferred but not required
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field required
