Your Mission

As a Remote Retail Category Management Coordinator, you will support Wayfair's category managers with the operational and analytical work needed to keep product categories performing at their best. You will track category metrics, coordinate assortment updates, manage supplier relationships for assigned categories, and help ensure that Wayfair's product pages are accurate, competitive, and conversion-optimized.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Support category managers in tracking assortment health, pricing competitiveness, and inventory availability across assigned product categories
  • Coordinate catalog additions, attribute updates, and content improvements with supplier partners and the catalog operations team
  • Analyze category performance data including sales trends, conversion rates, and customer return rates
  • Monitor competitor pricing and product assortment to identify gaps and opportunities within Wayfair's catalog
  • Assist with promotional planning by compiling category-level data and supplier participation tracking
  • Prepare category performance reports and summaries for weekly and monthly business reviews
  • Manage action items from category review meetings, following up with internal teams and supplier contacts

What You Bring

  • 1-2 years of experience in category management, merchandising, or e-commerce operations
  • Comfort working with large datasets in Excel; experience with Google Sheets or BI dashboards is a plus
  • Curiosity about consumer shopping behavior, product trends, and retail strategy
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, retail management, or a related field preferred
