Safety and Health Officer

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Coordinate and implement Safety & Health (S&H) programs across all project sites.
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on S&H practices to ensure a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Identify workplace hazards, assess risks, and implement effective control measures.
  • Ensure compliance with statutory S&H regulations and company safety standards while promoting a proactive safety culture.
  • Monitor and report S&H performance; develop S&H management plans, safety calendars, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Conduct S&H training, toolbox meetings, and facilitate monthly safety meetings.
  • Liaise with relevant authorities (e.g. JKKP, CIDB, BOMBA, KKM) and ensure timely resolution of site-related issues.
  • Prepare and submit monthly S&H reports accurately and on time.
  • Support incident investigations and documentation.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess at least an Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor’s Degree in Occupational Safety & Health, or a related field.
  • Valid Green Book (Registered Safety & Health Officer).
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in the construction industry, preferably with exposure to factory or building projects.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to coordinate effectively with clients, consultants, and project teams.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and able to work independently.
