Job Summary

McKee Foods is seeking a Seasonal Spare Production Associate to join our Production Department team.

This is an entry-level position at our bakery that requires no previous experience. We offer on-the-job training in our modern manufacturing facility.

Seasonal Spares perform multiple job functions in our manufacturing plant. These tasks may be automated at varying degrees and can differ.

  • Performing minor line equipment set-ups, moving product trays, and conducting product inspections

  • Monitoring: inspecting product quality and removing defects,

  • Feeding: placing product onto a moving track for wrapping and catching: placing wrapped product into cartons

  • Loading and Unloading: moving materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves

  • Case-packing/palletizing: placing cartons into shipping cases and/or stacking shipping cases onto pallets

  • Operating: operating power hoists and electric pallet jacks to lift heavy objects

Required Qualifications
  • Ability to read, write, and do basic math

  • Good decision-making skills

  • Works well independently and as a member of the team

  • Able to perform repetitive motions while sitting or standing for the duration of the entire shift

  • Positive attitude

  • Ability to work with minimal supervision

  • Good overall work and safety record

Preferred Qualifications
  • Food manufacturing experience

  • Good mechanical skills
