Solutions Consultant - Service Providers

## About This Role We're looking for a Solutions Consultant to join our team and focus on FSI (Financial Services Industry) accounts across the SADC region. This is a remote position where you'll work alongside Account Executives to drive technical outcomes on complex cybersecurity deals. You'll be the technical backbone of our sales efforts, understanding what our financial services customers need and architecting solutions that demonstrate real value from the Palo Alto Networks portfolio. ## What You'll Be Doing You'll partner proactively with Account Executives to identify, qualify, and close cybersecurity opportunities within the FSI sector. Your days will involve conducting technical discovery conversations to understand customer business requirements and mapping those needs to our solutions. You'll design and demonstrate complex security architectures tailored to address specific customer challenges and business goals. Leading Proof of Concept (POC) engagements is a core part of this work—you'll validate technical feasibility and demonstrate tangible value to customers. You'll also collaborate effectively with our Product Management, Engineering, and Customer Success teams to ensure customer satisfaction while providing valuable feedback on product direction. Throughout it all, you'll maintain deep technical expertise on the Palo Alto Networks platform and understand the competitive cybersecurity landscape. A key skill here is translating complex technical concepts—keeping things simple for executive audiences while diving into granular details when speaking with technical stakeholders. ## What We're Looking For You'll need a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience. Significant experience in a Pre - Sales, Systems Engineering, or Solutions Consultant role within the cybersecurity or networking industry is essential. Deep technical understanding of network security, cloud security, and endpoint protection technologies is required. You'll also need proven experience working with Service Providers and understanding their specific regulatory and security requirements. Strong knowledge of the SADC market and business landscape is crucial for this position. ## Nice to Have If you hold industry certifications like CISSP, CCIE, or PCNSE (Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer), that's a real advantage. Experience with automation and orchestration tools—Python, Ansible, Terraform—would strengthen your candidacy.
