Sr Product Leader-Leader of Protection Products

The Senior Product Leader - Protection is accountable for setting and executing the firm's Protection strategy to ensure advisors and branch teams have competitive, high‑quality products and support to help clients meet their financial goals. Partnering closely with the Managing Director and General Partner, this role provides enterprise‑level leadership for protection solutions while building strong internal and external partnerships.
This position carries broad strategic influence across the firm and serves as the primary authority for the Protection product line.
Key Accountabilities
- Strategy & Product Leadership: Lead the end‑to‑end Protection strategy, driving product design, innovation, and portfolio evolution based on client, branch, and market insights aligned with firm advice standards.
- Product Portfolio & Partner Management: Lead teams responsible for product partner relationships across Life, Disability, and Long‑Term Care. Oversee portfolio governance, including recommendations to add, remove, or modify products and partners. Identify gaps and growth opportunities and execute plans to address them.
- Partner Performance & Execution: Approve and oversee partner business plans aligned with firm strategy. Ensure product literature and wholesaling support are high‑quality, compliant, and aligned with firm messaging. Resolve complex escalations using root‑cause and systems‑based thinking.
- Subject Matter Expertise & Industry Representation: Serve as the firm's Protection expert with deep knowledge of product features, pricing, and competitive positioning. Represent the firm with product partners, at industry events, and in relevant external forums.
- Risk, Regulatory & Governance Leadership: Monitor and interpret tax, legal, and regulatory developments affecting Protection products. Shape firm positions and lead risk mitigation strategies to protect clients and the enterprise.
- Enterprise Leadership & Influence: Lead and participate in cross‑divisional initiatives, governance committees, and strategic projects. Partner closely with Branch Development, Compliance, Finance, Legal, Product Review, Operations, and Solutions teams.
- People Leadership: Attract, develop, and lead high‑performing leaders and associates, fostering a collaborative culture focused on results, accountability, and professional growth

Skills/Requirements
- Bachelor's degree required; quantitative discipline preferred
- Series 7, 66, and State Life/Health licenses required within 12 months
- Advanced degree or professional designations preferred (e.g., CFP, CFA, CLU, ASA/FSA, CPA)
- 15+ years of financial services experience; 10+ years in Protection strongly preferred
- Proven senior leadership experience
