Staff Nurse
Responsibility
Job Title : Staff Nurse
Location : Georgetown, Penang
- Provide direct nursing care including assessments, medication administration, wound care, and monitoring vital signs.
- Assist doctors during medical procedures, examinations, and treatment.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care records, charts, and reports.
- Educate patients and their families on treatment plans, medication usage, discharge instructions, and general health education.
- Monitor patient conditions and report any changes or concerns promptly to physicians or senior nurses.
- Ensure infection control procedures and safety protocols are strictly followed.
- Prepare and manage equipment and supplies for procedures.
- Coordinate patient admissions, transfers, and discharges in a timely and compassionate manner.
- Support the overall functioning of the ward/clinic and participate in shift duties, including weekends and public holidays.
- Participate in continuous professional development and nursing quality improvement initiatives.
- Diploma or Degree in Nursing from a recognized institution.
- Registered with the Malaysian Nursing Board and possess a valid Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
- At least 1–2 years of clinical experience preferred (new graduates are also welcome depending on facility).
- Strong clinical knowledge, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills; ability to work in a team and handle stressful situations.
- Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia (other languages such as Mandarin or Tamil are a plus).
- Willing to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and public holidays.

Pay: RM3,200.00 - RM4,500.00 per month
