<p>As a Technical Engineering Manager, you will lead high-performing, multidisciplinary engineering teams while remaining deeply connected to the technical execution. This role blends people leadership, delivery ownership, technical decision-making, and client-facing collaboration.<br>You will be responsible for end-to-end delivery across one or more engagements, ensuring strong engineering practices, high-quality outcomes, and alignment with client and business goals.<br></p> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Key Responsibilities</span><br></p> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Technical Leadership</span></p> <ul> <li>Provide hands-on technical leadership across teams, participating in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.</li> <li>Guide teams in modern architecture patterns such as microservices, event-driven systems, and modular monoliths.</li> <li>Ensure engineering solutions align with cloud-native best practices (AWS, Azure, or GCP).</li> <li>Support design reviews, technical spikes, and proof-of-concepts when needed.<br></li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">People & Team Leadership</span><br></p> <p><br></p> <ul> <li>Lead and mentor developers, QA engineers, DevOps, and other engineering roles</li> <li>Coach technical leads and senior engineers, supporting career growth and leadership development.</li> <li>Own performance management, feedback, promotions, and compensation processes.</li> <li>Address conflict, performance challenges, and team dynamics proactively and constructively.<br></li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Delivery Ownership</span><br></p> <p><br></p> <ul> <li>Own scope, schedule, quality, and delivery outcomes end-to-end for assigned engagements.</li> <li>Be actively involved in day-to-day delivery activities, including standups, unblockers, and release coordination.</li> <li>Track and manage delivery metrics such as cycle time, throughput, DORA metrics, SLAs/SLOs, and velocity.</li> <li>Identify and manage dependencies, risks, and blockers to ensure predictable delivery.<br></li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Client-Facing Leadership</span><br></p> <p><br></p> <ul> <li>Act as a technical point of contact for clients, participating in architecture reviews, delivery updates, and QBRs.</li> <li>Clearly communicate risks, trade-offs, and delivery status to both technical and executive stakeholders.</li> <li>Support proposals, estimates, statements of work, and account growth initiatives in collaboration with sales and leadership teams.<br></li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Financial & Operational Awareness</span><br></p> <p><br></p> <ul> <li>Understand and support forecasting, staffing, utilization, margin, and team allocation for assigned engagements.</li> <li>Partner with delivery and leadership teams to ensure the financial health and sustainability of projects.</li> <li>Balance delivery excellence with cost, efficiency, and long-term scalability.<br></li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Required Qualifications</span><br></p> <p><br></p> <ul> <li>7+ years of hands-on engineering experience (software development or DevOps), with recent technical involvement.</li> <li>3+ years in an engineering leadership or management role, leading teams of engineers directly.</li> <li>Strong experience with modern architectures, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), and CI/CD practices.</li> <li>Solid understanding of IaC, test automation, observability, and SRE concepts (SLOs, SLAs, incident response).</li> <li>Experience working directly with U.S.-based clients in delivery and technical leadership roles.</li> <li>Excellent English communication skills (C1/C2), written and verbal, with the ability to communicate clearly with engineers and executives alike.<br></li> <li>Experience in consulting services environments.<br></li> </ul> <p><br></p> <p><span style="font-weight: bold">Nice to Have</span><br></p> <p><br></p> <ul> <li>Exposure to pre-sales activities, estimations, or proposal support.</li> <li>Background in scaling teams or helping organizations modernize legacy systems.</li> </ul>
